One Oil To Rule Them All

I go through phases with stuff. I obsess and say something is the best thing ever and then a couple weeks later I'm over it. I do this with fitness classes, recipes, shampoo, fruits, vegetables, the route I take to work, TV shows, anything, and everything. There are only a handful of things that I actually think I'll love forever: baked potatoes, BodyJam, a white shirt and jeans, black cashmere sweaters, and Clinique Black Honey Almost Lipstick. I waited a few months to write about this thing I'm writing about today because when I discovered it, I immediately thought it had real potential to join the ranks of Things I'll Love Forever and it turns out it does! It's on the list. Official. It is...

EVERYDAY OIL

Simple name, simple product. It is quite literally everything, and I am in love with it. It is a cleanser. It is a facial moisturizer, a makeup primer, a body oil. Throw some on a cotton pad and it's an eye makeup remover. Does great things for your cuticles. You can put it in your bath, you can use it on the ends of your hair, I've pretty much stopped using perfume because it smells so good, and I'm not going to be dramatic and call it an antidepressant but it's quite uplifting. I pretty much cover my entire self in it the second I get out of the shower in the morning and then use it at night to double cleanse and moisturize. As an aspiring minimalist this thrills me. One bottle for ALL OF THAT and it works so so well.

Facts... it's a blend of nine different oils: coconut, olive, jojoba, castor, argan, palo santo, lavender, geranium, and clary sage. Given that list it obviously smells amazing, but they do offer an unscented version if you're not into smells. The company was founded by a woman named Emma Allen who started making Everyday Oil in her home because she couldn't find anything like it anywhere. If you want something done right, do it yourself I guess, huh? You can order it directly from their website - they offer a discount if you do a subscription - or you can get it at the best store on the planet, Cambridge Naturals. Go get some and use it everyday. Happy Friday.
